A few years ago, America saw it's first Sumo champion crowned in Japan. This was the only time in the age-old Sumo tradition that a non-Japanese has become the Grand Champion. This has set off a wave of Sumo hopefuls including, from the American Sumo Society, Cecil and Arnold Benoit.
